Rural/Metro Fire Department has been providing fire and emergency medical services to the Town of Sahuarita since it was established in 1974. We are very proud and humbled in knowing that we will continue to serve northern Sahuarita for the foreseable future.
Rural/Metro Fire Department provides service to the community from Fire Station #79 in the heart of the Town Center. Built in 2012, the station adds critical infrastructure for the area. With residential growth in the northern portions of the town, Rural/Metro Fire acquired property near Pima Mine Road to build Fire Station #82, construction starting June of 2013.
Rural/Metro operates on an individual basis with most residents of Sahuarita. This means fire protection and emergency medical services are not paid for through taxes and residents are responsible for establishing fire service directly with Rural/ Metro Fire.
