CENTRAL ARIZONA OPERATIONS

 

Chief Tim Soule is the Fire Chief for Rural Metro Fire Central Arizona operations, including unincorporated areas in both Maricopa and Pinal counties. Chief Soule is a career fire safety professional having worked with volunteer, combination, municipal and subscription fire, and EMS organizations. Over his 30-year career, he has held numerous ranks including firefighter and National Registry paramedic, as well as Fire Chief for three career fire service organizations.

 

Chief Soule is a graduate of the National Fire Academy, with an Executive Fire Officer certificate, the Senior Executive Institute from the University of Virginia with an emphasis on High Performance Organizations and Leadership and is a Chief Fire Officer designee from the Center for Public Safety Excellence Commission on Professional Credentialing. He also holds a master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University in Social Administration.

 

Soule has also spent time researching behavioral health in emergency responders and cancer prevention, holds credentials such as SWAT medic, hazardous materials technician, technical rescue specialist, National Wildland Coordinating Group Certified Incident Commander-Type 3, Division Supervisor, and Task Force Leader.  He is devoted to first responder behavioral health issues and child welfare issues. He has led the fight to understand and mitigate Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) within fire service for over 20 years. He has served as the past Board President for the Suicide Prevention Network of Douglas County, Nevada and sat on the Board for the Salvation Army, as well as served as a court appointed special advocate for children.
