Rural Metro Yuma County
A MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF
Rural Metro Fire Department has proudly served Yuma County since 1971, providing dependable fire protection and emergency medical services to the communities we call home. Operating from six fire stations across the county, our dedicated team responds to thousands of emergencies each year with professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to public safety.
As a private, membership-based fire and EMS provider, our services are made possible through the direct support of the community we serve. While membership sustains our operations, our mission is simple: to respond to every emergency without hesitation and put the safety and well-being of Yuma County first—today and into the future.

Who We Are
Rural Metro Fire Department has been a trusted part of the Yuma County community since 1971. For more than five decades, we have worked alongside residents, businesses, and local partners to help keep our community safe when emergencies happen.
Serving Yuma County from six fire stations, our team of dedicated firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and support staff is committed to protecting lives and property with professionalism, care, and a deep commitment to our community. We are proud to serve areas that may not otherwise have access to government-funded fire protection, ensuring no community is left without emergency services.
As a membership-based organization, we are supported directly by the community we serve. That partnership allows us to remain ready, responsive, and focused on what matters most—your safety. No matter the situation or membership status, our commitment is the same: to show up, help those in need, and put the well-being of our community first.
